eSim Telegram game

My Role

As the UI/UX Designer, I led the user interface design, game logic structuring, and interactive mechanics for this tap-based and map-based game. I also contributed to game design, developed the design system, and proposed core mechanics for the Monopoly phase. This included integrating crypto wallet features and visualizing a complex MLM referral system for mobile.

Overview

Stage 1 – Tap to Earn

Monopoly is a two-stage gamified experience built around a real eSIM product and integrated within Telegram. Initially launched as a simple tap game—where players earned rewards by upgrading digital towers—the game later evolved into a full-scale strategic experience tied to real-world geography and cryptocurrency.

Stage 2 – Global Monopoly

In Stage 2, the game introduced a Monopoly-style mechanic using a real-time world map. Players could buy, upgrade, repair, and trade digital towers using cryptocurrency (part of which was distributed through an airdrop). PvP mechanics allowed for tower captures, while a custom crypto wallet and MLM system expanded gameplay and community engagement.

The project’s core mission was to attract and onboard users into the eSIM ecosystem through gamification and crypto incentives.

Approach

I joined the team under tight deadlines after the previous designer stepped away. I rapidly picked up the design system and contributed to major gameplay and UX advancements. A few of the most notable decisions and challenges included:

Map Design & Territory Control

Originally, towers could be placed freely on the real-world map, but this posed issues with overlap. I helped pivot the concept to an invisible tile system—allowing strategic tower progression without territory collision.

Economic Balancing

I worked closely with game economists to ensure the crypto mechanics remained fair, engaging, and sustainable.

MLM Visualization

One of the toughest challenges was creating an intuitive interface for the multi-layer referral system on mobile. After multiple iterations, I developed a compact yet informative layout that handled complex data structures with clarity.

Outcome

The project launched successfully and reached millions of active users. It is currently in Stage 2 with continued development and community engagement. The Monopoly experience is evolving into a rich, crypto-based MMO on a real-world map.
